  1. Thales Castro says:

Hi! What strings would you recommend for this racquet? Im looking for a full bed of poly that would improve the overall feel (not too muted), as i feel this frame is too muted already. Something comfortably crisp and that gives a better connection/feedback. Preferably 16g because i like lower tension for better pocketing. Not a fan of poly tour pro. Thank you!

  2. Timothy Wojcik says:

Would this work for a newer player? I'm a big guy, 6'2" 215, played college sports but just started playing tennis at the beginning of this year. I'm currently using a hand me down racquet, the Prince Exo3 Ignite Team 95 from about 12 years ago, so it has some weight to it but is pretty unforgiving.

  3. Gabriel Rombenso says:

Guys, amazing reviews! I would like to know your opinion regarding the Ezone 98 Tour vs the VCore Pro 97 HD. Both seems really good from your videos and comments. Thanks in advance 🙂

  4. Mirdad says:

Troy, I plan on adding a Wilson leather grip first to obtain at least a 7 point h/l balance. Do you have any idea how much weight a Wilson leather grip would add if I replace the Yonex synthetic grip the Tour comes with? Adding about 9 to 12 grams should get the h/l balance up to at least 7 to 8 points h/l……..at least that is the goal. Also, I was wondering if making it about 7 points h/l would add or subtract the power level. Thanks for the great review.

  5. Tariq Saleem says:

Want to try natural gut (klip legend) hybrid with a poly in crosses as I have developed some shoulder and neck issues. What tension would you recommend on this. Current I have yonex poly tour pro at 47lbs and like it a lot but it feels a but harsh coz of my neck issue

  6. Tristan Pearce says:

How is the manueverability? 4pts head light is my only concern with this one.

No issues with maneuverability for the playtesters?

Cant help but think 315 gram and 6pts head light would be the sweetspot for me I believe. 330sw and 315g has me very tempted as I loved the Dr98

  7. Sean Eckhart says:

Anyone at tennis warehouse still using the Ezone Tour? I like this stick but Im afraid Im gonna get tennis elbow because a lot of people complain about the harsh stiffness

  8. King Trel says:

Hi! Which one of the latest Ezones would best match the Yonex EZONE DR 98 (Blue)? That’s what I currently have but it’s been a few years and I would like to upgrade

  9. Matteo Bizzaro says:

Hey tennis warehouse! I'm a huge fan from Italy. I recently got an amazing deal on the ezone 98 which I couldn't turn down. Unfortunately, I would have loved the tour model. Can you recommend me things I could do to the stick to get it to feel and balance like the tour version (location and quantity of lead tape). Keep up the great work!

  10. IWTFATPP says:

    Hi ,thanks for the review.
I currently play with blade v7 16×19,but I’m having trouble generating power and spin (forehand)to keep the shots deep near the baseline. Will this model help me gain more depth on my forehand ground stroke ?

  11. vishal sharma says:

Currently playing with babalot pure aero but looking for more control while hoping to keep same spin potential and serve power. Should I switch to this or Pro staff 97 V13

  12. Beast - PG3D says:

if i had added weight to the regular ezone 10 grams total leadweight at 3 and 9 would it feel similar to the tour this is because i love the feel of the ezon but kinda too low of a swingweight for me

  13. Kyzer Soze says:

I’ve been using k factor Wilson blades and the kfactor 95 for EEEEEEEEEVER now. Both are different weight specs and have similar feel to ball pocketing with almost any strings I’ve used at 56lbs. However, recently I tried out a few different yonex rackets due to popular demand. Weight specs were around 315-330grams (unstrung) with a 62-65 stiffness rating and a 7-8pt heads light.

My question is, why are yonex so string sensitive???? I strung the racket at 56lbs with MSV Hex Focus Soft (like Solinco Hyper G) and my arm almost broke into pieces, and then lowered it to 50lbs and STILL it felt like cardboard hitting balls! The off-centre shots are brutal and jarring, almost like the whole frame is bending or twisting. Quite the opposite of what most people say about these rackets.

Have you had any customers giving you similar feedback? And is there a string and tension you recommend for someone that is 5.0 player?

  14. David Micevski says:

I have the Wilson pro staff 97 315 g and the thing I like is the way the racket plays in the first 40 minutes to an hour of gameplay after that my arm gets tired I start developing some slight elbow pain and after I cool down the elbow pain increases which prevents me from playing day after day and I find myself having to pause for 3 days so that my elbow pain decreased. Due to where i live i cant test rackets and i if i want Yonex i have to get it online. I want a Yonex because its made in Japan instead of China like these other rackets and i would like a more maneuverable and forgiving replacement for the Pro Staff. Im sorry for the long comment but you’re help will be much appreciated as always 😊
    edit
I have also have a Pure drive and that thing has too much power and no control IMO also very little feel compared to the Pro Staff. The only thing I like more about the pure drive is the fact that i can play longer and more often and wont develop elbow pain

  15. Aneesh Desikan says:

Does the 4 3/8 grip size in this feel the same as the 4 3/8 grip size from the Pure Drive or Pure Aero or does this feel larger than those grip sizes? I’m debating between the 4 1/4 or 4 3/8 size – I usually play with the Pure Drive in a 4 3/8 size with a single Babolat Vs original overgrip and the size is perfect for me.

  16. steve schaeffer says:

Quick question for Troy. How many grams would you recommend to tail weight the Tour and do you recommend placing the lead tape vertically on the grip or wrapping it circularly closer to the buttcap?

  17. Genome says:

Hey TW, great review! Actually, I am wondering if i should switch to this racquet…..
So, my current racquet is a customized pro staff 97l (318 grams and a bit head heavy). But i want a little bit more plush feel and decent power + spin without sacrificing any control and stability. BTW i'm an aggressive baseliner and a junior player. Do you recommend to switch to the ezone 98 tour? Thanks.

  18. KREATION says:

Hi there, Im playing with a Yonex Ezone 98 305g (2018 lime green), and although I really like it im curious to know if there is much difference between the newer Ezone and vcore pro models. I hit flat put away shots but use top spin in defensive situations (and one handed back hand). Should I stick to my racket or should i move towards the new Ezone 98, the new Ezone 98 tour or the VCore Pro, and why? (I would not like to sacrifice control if possible) Many thanks

  19. Ciro Carrotta says:

Does this racquet have easy power at all beats, or does it come out just by squeezing it? is it closer to a vcore pro or is it still an ezone I would not like it to be a frame to push like a pure aero vs or a vcore pro 310! I'm using a prince 100x and it has a great combination of easy power, control and not a lot of fatigue

  20. Ekis says:

Hey TW. I'm having trouble with some tennis elbow (using the first pure aero) and so was looking for something easier on the arm. I have heard great things about the old Ezone 98 DR, and noticed this Ezone 98 tour has the same RA as the Ezone 98 DR. Do they feel similar when played with though? Which would you recommend if I could find a used DR and would it matter enough to look for one. Thanks!

  21. MJ Lee says:

Hi Troy, i hope you and the guys are doing good during this pandemic. I strung this racket with Dynawire at 54/52. The feel is very comfortable that i find it too muted. Does the poly better suited at 52 ?

  22. Francesco Mancuso says:

Hi Troy, asking the question as I am aware that you use a Vcore 98 Plus extended length. How are you finding this racket vs the Vcore 98 Plus? I am a Vcore 98 Plus fan (used to love the SV even more!) but testing the Ezone 98 tour now to check whether I can go back to normal length rackets (I’m 6’4.. plenty natural leverage). A few balls with the Ezone 98 Tour seem to fly off.. launch 🚀 long off the racket and don’t feel I can swing full speed hence keen to hear a different opinion given that you’ve a Vcore Plus boy too. Thank you in advance (also …Vcore Plus vs Ezone Plus… what are the real differences?)

  23. Gesner Urbano says:

Hello Tennis warehouse team. On this video you show the balance as unstrung balance as 7 HL and on the website it is shown as "Balance only" My understanding is that the data on the website refers to the balance once the racket is strung. I find this a bit confusing. I read before I watch the videos, and I was unpleasantly surprised when I saw a 4 points balance. Then when I watched the video I saw the other way to portray the data. This data could be shown in a more consistent way.

  24. Max Tong says:

I've been hitting with my Head Youtek Radical MP for the last 8yrs, modified SW: 350gr on one, 365 on the other (I weighted them both). One needed a new grommet a year ago and after I had 1 put on, it became so head heavied which would take out my arm after not even an hour of hitting, I'm a 4.0 140lbs 5'5" guy. I use Vokl Cyclone Tour 18 string @ 50lbs. That new grommet kinda messed up the whole vibes for the both of them.
I'm stuck overseas atm where I can't demo this new 98 Tour but can buy it outright, thinking of making the switch. What do you think, would it be an easy transition? How do the Yt Rad MP compare to the new Yonex Ezone 98 Tour all around? Thanks.
